Sin is sin

Today I want to address something that I feel we must all take note of, and that includes me.

How far is too far?

I received an email today about a South African comedian, who has a very foul mouth, like 99% of all comedians does, and like them this one too is no child of the King, no matter what they say or do, they are not saved.

The writer of this email was upset, now hear me, she admits his language is vulgar and that she did enjoy some of his previous shows, and that she actually bought tickets to go and watch this guy's show knowing that he is vulgar and expletive in his language, like all comedians and especially stand up comedians, this guy has been using the lord’s Name to entertain people, nothing new there.

So she had send him an email because he uses the Lord's Name but also because the way he sweared, talking about woman's private's etc unsettled her.

Now my question is it is ok if he is a little bit foul mouthed, and if he uses God's name just a little bit, and I bet you the author of the email herself also uses the Lord's Name allot.

Where do we draw the line?

Isn't it true that sin is sin?
Is a big sin greater than a small sin?

The fact is, sin is sin, and is viewed by God as sin, whether it is big or small, sin is sin.

How can you judge someone, while admitting that you enjoyed his shows, knowing very well that he is vulgar? How can you attack him about his vulgar language, while you yourself uses swear words, and I am not even talking about your language when you are drunk, then the comedians language doesn't even match yours.

You see when we live in sin, we are aware of the sin that everybody else does, we will point out and judge, because then I am not judging myself.

Judgment starts with us, ask yourself how holy is your life, how righteous are you, how full of sin are your lives.

before you send out an email about someone else’s conduct, first take the pole from your own eye, change your language, become a truly born again Christian, committed unto Christ, Mind souls, spirit and body, then you can judge.

We are quick to judge, quick to send emails.

STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now ask yourself the following

Am I living a life that is spotless, without spot or wrinkle?
1. Do I judge people?
2. Do I smoke?
3. Do I drink?
4. Do I Swear or cuss?
5. Do I look at woman desiring them?
6. Do I Lie?
7. Do I hate my brother, sister or any person for that matter?
8. Do I watch films and movies with expletive content, or visit expletive sites on the net?
9. Do I cheat on my wife, my husband, in my exams?
10. Do I desire or lust after another man/woman?

If you have answered yes to any of the above points, you have no right to judge any person, because you yourself are still a sinner

Scripture tells us that we all have fallen short of the glory of God, no one is perfect, Please stop acting like you are, stop acting like your life is a model for others, your life is what you do when no one else is around, stop pretending to stand up for Jesus, you and I both know that you don't go to church on Sundays, you don't pray all the time, stop lying to yourself.

Come to the realization that sin is sin, and that I must rid myself of all sin, I must live a life that is spotless, without spot or wrinkle, It is time that we get serious about God, and Jesus Christ, it is time that we stop sending out trash, garbage, spam, about how much you love Jesus, and oh how sweat things are.

Get on your knees, like I am about to do, and confess your sins, and ask Jesus to forgive you for being such a hypocrite, ask Him to reveal Himself unto you, meet with Him, come in a real relationship with Him, and stop doing that which you are doing, that is not of Him.

I am going on my knees with this post, confessing that I too have sinned and have fallen short of His Glory, but I know that My God is faithfull to forgive me of my sins, and to cleanse me from my unrighteousnes

Church, Christians, people of the world, Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand

Some after thought

Over the past couple of months I had time to do some revision, take a pause, and determine where I am heading, what is the goal I am aiming for, and what am I working towards.

I had time to read numerous other blogs, and it was time for retrospection

I had to take a long hard look at myself and ask myself:

Who is Arnold?
Where is Arnold heading to?
What motivates and drives Arnold?

To answer my first question

Who is Arnold?

I am a man who had owed a debt that was so huge that I could not pay it, I was a sinner to the core, but Jesus Christ paid with His own blood for my life, He paid the price/Ransom, so that I can have life everlasting, He paid the debt, a debt He did not owe, so that I can live.

So who am I? I am a man that have been redeemed by the Blood of Christ Jesus, I am child of the King, I am an heir of the Father, I am a sanctified Spirit filled, Tongue Speaking, Acts 2:38 Born Again Saint of the living God.

To Answer my second Question

Where is Arnold Heading to?

I was on a highway to hell, I deserved to die and go to hell, because of my sins, but Because of Christ Jesus, who had paid the price for me on the cross of Calvary, I can now say that I am in the Kingdom of God, I have found that narrow road that leads to life eternal, and I am walking on that road.

To Answer my third Question

What motivates and drives Arnold?

For me to live is Christ Jesus, to die is gain, the famous words of the Apostle Paul is now also mine, what motivates and drives me, is the passion and love that I have for Christ Jesus, I love Him more than life itself, for me to live is Christ Jesus. It is because He lives that I can live, It is because He lives that I can have my being, without Him and apart from Him I am nothing, He is my all in all, In Him I Live and Move and have my being. In Him and through Him and Unto Him alone do I live

Can I ask these three questions today

Who are you?
Where are you heading to?
What motivates and drives you?

I can do All things through Christ Jesus

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

During this past month (June), I was working as floor manager at the FIFA World Cup Stadium in Polokwane (Peter Mokaba Stadium).

Before this, I had no real F&B background or experience, and knowing our countries record regarding affirmative action and job placement, I was very surprised to hear from the company in May informing me that I have the job.

This was miracle no1, for I am a white male, employing for a position that I had no training, or work background.

Miracle Two:
Our head crew consisted out of the following people
Stadium Manager: Lars Schmidt (Germany)
Head Logistics: Kostas (Greece)
Operations Manager: Rainar (Germany)
A/Head Logistics: Benjamin (Germany)
Head Chef: Raymond (Germany)
A/head Chef: Stefan (Germany)
A/head Chef: Marcus (Turkey)
Floor Manager: Katarina (Austria)
Floor Manager: Sabine (Pretoria, South Africa, She is originally from Austria)
and last but not the least
Floor Manager: Arnoldus Venter (Polokwane, South Africa)
From all of the head crew I was the only person from Polokwane, to be part of the head crew, and to top it all I was selected to work in the VVIP lounge, God is so Awesome

Working in VVIP lounge was a whole new experience, yet God helped me all the way, I had to work with the president of France, The Prince of Monaco, President of Algeria, President of FIFA, Various Ambassadors, and executive members of FIFA, local and national leaders. I was so blessed, to meet these dignitaries, to shake hands with them, to talk with them, it was so amazing.

To think that many a time we would say, I cannot do that, and we would walk away, instead we must look at the situation and say I can do all things through Christ Jesus which strengthens me

Many a time we look at our own ability and say, I am not good enough; I do not have the skills, etc. How wrong are we actually, because In Christ Jesus we are capable of doing all things?

Many people are afraid of making a mistake so they never try; they are so scared of failure that they never try it. How will you know unless you have tried it? If it fails try again, it is after all through our mistakes that we learn and grow

I want to challenge you today, to go out there and have the attitude of I can do all things, Because Christ Jesus Lives in Me

A healthy eye of the heart

Mat 6:22-23 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Luk 8:16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

What our Savior wanted to teach by the analogy of the eye and the lamp is that everything we see depends on the condition of the lamp. If the lamp is dim, we won't see very clearly. If our eye is dim, diseased, the whole body will be darkened.

Similarly, if the lamp is burning brightly, we see things as they are. We recognize the books upon the table and the photographs upon the wall. But if the lamp is flickering or smoky, everything is distorted or obscured; so it is with the eye.

If we are color-blind, we cannot see the glorious redness of the rose. If we are nearsighted, we cannot see the friend who is signaling to us from a little distance. If we suffer from impending cataracts, we cannot clearly distinguish a friend sitting next to us. Still, the rose is red, though we cannot see it in our color blindness. Still, the friend is waving to us or seated by our side.

There is nothing the matter with reality. The trouble is that we are seeing badly. Now the Lord tells us that the eye can be either single (healthy), or it can be evil. As the eye brings good or evil impressions to the body so the heart of man is that organ by which the spiritual self is enlightened. The heart can be single or evil.

Extreme

Many times we are caught in the trap of running to extremes. God's will has been revealed and needs to be understood the way God intended it to be.

The Pharisees had this problem. They even had everyday life defined to the point where it was hard for a person to live. On the Sabbath day, they had problems with different concepts such as "work." On the Sabbath you were to cease from work, and the Pharisees decided to define what God intended by this.

Here are a few examples:

You could not turn over in bed more than seven times or that was considered work.

If you wanted to borrow something from your neighbor, you could not put your hand through the threshold of the door to receive it, nor could the neighbor do that. This would be considered work. If you both met halfway, it was not considered work.

Jesus said in Mat_15:6, speaking to the Pharisees, "...And thus you invalidated the Word of God for the sake of your tradition." For the sake of their definitions which they had made law, their extremes, they made void the Word of God.

We laugh at the Pharisees and wonder how they could have been so ignorant. But if Jesus were here physically today, what would He say of us?

Let us not run to extremes; let us seek what God intended and do it. Either extreme of a truth is no longer truth.

Adoption

A small girl recently gave her definition of the word "adoption." "It is when you love someone and you ask them to come and live with you." Simplicity is still the best way to say a thing, is it not? God loves us too, and He wants to adopt us as sons and daughters-how about it? Would you come and live with Him?

It is all About Jesus

I have come to learn and know, that it is all about Jesus. It does not matter who I am, or where I have been, or where I am going, what really matters, is that it is all about Jesus

You see people today want to make such a big to do about everything, there ministries, there callings, there churches etc.

While all that really matters, is Jesus Christ

I am here today, Because of Jesus Christ, Because He (Jesus Christ) died, I can live
and move and have my being

We must lift up the Name of Jesus
We must proclaim the name of Jesus
We must believe in the Name of Jesus
We must do all things in the name of Jesus
We must Glorify Jesus and Him alone.

Mothers Day

Today we will be celebrating Mothers Day, a day where we all stand still for a moment and say

Thank You mom

- For what you have done for us, and still will be doing for us
- That you are always there for us
- For making my pains and hurts go away with a gentle kiss
- For picking up the pieces of my heart after every failed relationship
- For taking care of me, when I was still to young, or unable to
- For being a mother to me
- For loving me
- For being there for me, no matter what.

Pro 6:20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

Pro 15:20 A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.

Pro 20:20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.

Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

To all the Mothers out there, we want to say

Happy Mothers Day

Pentecost

Act 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The above text states that when the day of Pentecost was fully come, now in order to understand what the day of Pentecost was, we need to go back to the Old Covenant which is our school master

What is the day of Pentecost?

Lev 23:5-16 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

Note verse 16 speaks of counting 50 days from the day of the passover, peshach, and this day is called Pentecost or shavu'ot

When is Pentecost this year?

Now to determine when the day of pentecost will be we have to calculate from the day of the passover (peshach) fifty days, this year the day of passover was as follow

1. According to the jewish calendar March 30 th
2. According to One ness Apostolics either March 29 or March 30
3. According to other Christian churches April 2

Now we must count 50 days from this day

1. For the Jews the day of Pentecost will fall on May 18
2. For One ness Apostolics Pentecost will fall on May 17 or May 18
3. For Other Christians Pentecost will fall on May 21

Pentecost is also the day that the church was birthed with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, upon the Apostles in the upper room

It is just sad that we no longer study these festivals to know their importance

Be ye Continually filled with the Holy Spirit

In Ephesians 5:18, Paul wrote: “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” In the original Greek, the phrase be filled is a present-tense verb.
To signify a “one-time filling,” Paul would have used the past tense or a future verb tense; instead, he chose the present tense to denote that the filling of the Holy Spirit is not a one-time event, but a continual experience. Scripture says that we must be continually filled with the Spirit, not just once or twice.
In the church today, we find many people who are not baptized in the Holy Ghost, and we also find many people, who had received the baptism years and years ago, and both of these groups think that they are ok.
Those who are not baptized in the Holy Spirit claims that they can function 100 percent in the body of Christ, and be effective in soul winning, that they can live active lives as Christians.
Can you live a victorious life without the Holy Spirit? The answer is NO, you cannot, The Holy Spirit empowers us, it gives us the power to overcome sin in our lives, without the Holy Spirits Power working in us, we cannot be victorious
We cannot come to know who Christ Jesus is without the Holy Spirit, we cannot understand the Word of God, without the Holy Spirit, who is making it alive unto us, The Holy Spirit is the one that comfort us in times of grief, The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Our Counselor, Our Helper, Our Advocate, our Strengthener
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
Jesus said that we shall receive power, to be His witnesses
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Prophet Isaih wrote in Isaiah 61

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

The Holy Spirit teaches us

1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

And in Romans we learn that it is the Holy Spirit who gives us Hope

Rom 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
For those who say they need no Holy Ghost, I believe that the above scriptures are môre than sufficient to proof that they do need the Holy Ghost.
For those who were filled long time ago, I want to encourage you to come and be filled a fresh with the Holy Spirit.

Now I am not a car mechanic, but I know this, if I have filled my cars engine with oil, and I do not change the oil, that after a few months or years, that oil becomes dirty and thick and will cause the engine to seize.

The Word of God implies that we must be continually filled, many people are running on empty, they have run out of fuel, they had the Holy Spirit, but because they are not continually filled, they start to run on their own steam, causing them to have mental and physical breakdowns.

God gave us His Spirit to help us, to empower and enable us, How can we be effective if we Have no Holy Spirit? How can we be effective running with old oil, or worse running on empty?

You can appropriate the filling of the Holy Spirit right now if you:

1. Sincerely desire to be directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 5:6; John 7:37-39).

2. Confess your sins. By faith thank God that He has forgiven all of your sins – past, present and future – because Christ died for you (Colossians 2:13-15; 1 John 1; 2:1-3; Hebrews 10:1-17).

3. Present every area of your life to God (Romans 12:1, 2).

4. By faith claim the fullness of the Holy Spirit, according to:
• His command – Be filled with the Spirit. “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18).
• His promise – He will always answer when we pray according to His will. “And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14, 15).
How to pray in faith to be filled with the Holy Spirit:
We are filled with the Holy Spirit by faith alone. However, true prayer is one way of expressing your faith. The following is a suggested prayer:
“Dear Father, I need You. I acknowledge that I have been directing my own life and that, as a result, I have sinned against You. I thank You that You have forgiven my sins through Christ’s death on the cross for me. I now invite Christ to again take His place on the throne of my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit as You commanded me to be filled, and as You promised in Your Word that You would do if I asked in faith. I now thank You for directing my life and for filling me with the Holy Spirit.”

Jesus Became our Righteousness

2Co 5:15-21 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Joh 3:17-18 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Rom 8:1-8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
